Waste Collection Yard
The purpose of the waste collection yard is to collect waste. Citizens can bring their municipal household waste free of charge here. In addition, the collection yard is intended for collecting waste which cannot be placed into dust bins. Mainly, this applies to bio waste, hazardous substances and bulky waste generated in particular when moving house or clearing flat furnishings after the deceased. The collection yard is also the place where citizens can bring their construction waste generated by building adjustments of their flats or houses (window exchange, bathroom adaptations, etc.).

Composting Site
The industrial composting site in the premises of the Regional Logistics Centre for Waste, Material, and Wastewater Management in Třinec in Tyrská is an establishment for waste reuse specialised in bio waste composting.
Collection Point
Třinec city concluded a contract with companies EKOLAMP s.r.o., ELEKTROWIN a.s., and ASEKOL s.r.o., for the collection of electrical appliances. Subsequently, this duty was transferred by Třinec to Nehlsen Třinec, s.r.o. company, by concluding the Contract of cooperation with respect to rights and duties by collection of electrical appliances. Based on this concluded contract in compliance with legal provisions of the collection of certain products of Act No.185/2001 Coll., on waste and amendment of some other laws, as amended, people under obligation according to Section 38 Article 6 of the above Act can use the collection yard in Tyrská to fulfil their obligation of waste collection. Nehlsen Třinec, s.r.o. has established the collection point of electrical appliances in the premises of the waste collection yard in Tyrská. Logistically, the collection point thus fits into the comprehensive system of municipal waste management.
The average weight of electrical and electronic appliances collected in 2009 was 6.41 kg per citizen per year.
